Lifetime Achievement Award - Mike Connor
This talented musician started playing guitar at age 12 and joined the rock band Novas two years later. At age 16 Connor was asked to join The X-Men, a popular Sioux Falls band. The singer/songwriter teamed up with Gary Johnson to write "Believe Me", recorded at IGL Studio by the X-Men. Later , as members of Those of Us, they wrote another song "Without You" that was also a successful 45. After Those of Us, Connor was a member of Kid Sparrow, another popular band. Today Mike is still performing, mostly at private functions and seasonal shows.
