IGL Recording Studios

With humble beginnings in 1965, in a small building in Milfore, Iowa, the IGL Recording Company quickyl established itself as Iowa's premier rock recording studio and label. With such labels of IGL, Sonic, & Iowa, IGL recording issued over 150+ single releases and 40+ LP's.

Bands from Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Canada, and South Dakota recorded under the guidance of IGL. For supposedly being a "local" label, this was very impressive.

In November of 1980, the studios officially closed. During the final weeks many old records were given away for the asking. Thinking that there was no value or interest in the old records, they were trucked to the county landfill and buried.
