Aftermath is ready to rock pop-punk style! They put their own twist on pop punk artists such as the Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, and the Struts. They are so excited to be back this year performing at Battle of the Bands and to hear all of the other great finalists play. Two sets of siblings have come together to do what they love the most. Aftermath is grateful to the South Dakota Rock & Roll Music Association for this chance.
The Downboys are an 80’s cover band that knows how to put on a show. With good music and high energy, The Downboys brings attention across the nation, giving people what they pay for and supplying a memory that they will never forget. This truly unique band does whatever it takes to get the to next step, all while having fun because that’s what music is all about!
Dreamfly is an alternative indie rock band based from Pierre, SD. First making their appearance at a high school talent show at T.F. Riggs High School, the band formed to play for people and for the love of music the 5 boys share together. As the band all share similar interests when it comes to music, all members have quite different taste but taste that can be respected. Dreamfly doesn’t discriminate music, they play music of all kinds from pop rock, alternative, or classic rock. That being said, the band also doesn’t want to be branded by a single genre. Dreamfly is simply just 5 friends who love playing music.
JAIK is a group of sophomores from Watertown, SD that formed in 2018 for a local talent competition and as they say, the rest is history. The name JAIK is an acronym for the founding member’s names and as the band grew in popularity, it stuck. They enjoy playing a variety of music with each member bringing their own favorite genre to the mix. Blending heavy metal, country, pop, grunge and rock to create a new sound and an interesting set list. They have even penned a few originals. Their real objective is to do what they love, play music and entertain. They have opened for and played for many events in the area and have played live on the local radio station. Their future goals include driving past 10:00 and receiving their Grammy for Record of the Year.
Patient Xero is a Melodic death/thrash metal band from Sioux falls, South Dakota. Recently formed in the last couple of months looking to make waves and incredible music. Some influences of ours are classic thrash metal bands like Metallica and Megadeth and death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse with a melodic influence like Slipknot and Inflames.
The Rathco - This family band is heavily influenced by the Rock & Roll greats that have come before them. 3 siblings + a cousin share family ties to platinum selling artists, songwriters + SDRR Hall of Famers.
Safety Patrol is an amateur rock band sanctioned in the Midwest, with two of it's members coming from the West-Coast. As of right now their focus is performing covers and original comedic (not comedy though) songs. Subscribe to their YouTube channel for more!
Seven Stones is an alternative rock band from Sioux Falls, SD. The band formed in 2017 when the members were only in middle school, and since then, they have recorded a multitude of songs, combining elements of all the different music they enjoy.
