Inductee

This group got it's start in 1967 in Madison, SD. when the six original members were in high school. Initially they were all too young to drive so some of the mothers provided transportation. They played for homecomings, proms, school dances, and at many of the area ballrooms. Over the years many different musicians were part of the Outer Limits and at one time they were booked by the legendary Jimmy Thomas.

In 1974 there was a major turnover of personnel with the "new" Outer Limits continuing to play throughout the area. They specialized in playing music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. One of the original players, Ken Reynolds, was a continuous member until the band called it quits. They played their last gig at the Grandview Ballroom at Lake Madison in 1980.
