Inductee

Lloyd was one of the most popular and loved musicians to come out of South Dakota. Born in Webster and later living in Huron, he learned to play the guitar and he played it well. He gave guitar lessons and one of his students was a young lady named Cheryl Ladd. Lloyd played with various bands and musicians over the years including Jay Bee and the Kats. He and Bob Shaw composed "Tension", one of the best rock & roll instrumentals to come out of S.D. The Kats were inducted into the S.D. Rock and Roll Music Association's Hall of Fame in 2012.

Lloyd suffered a stroke in 2008 but with the help of therapy he went through several years of recovery. Unfortunately a brain aneurysm proved fatal and took Lloyd's life in August of 2012 but his heartwarming spirit will always be with us.
