In 2006, Johnson founded Pepper Entertainment, Inc., a full-service entertainment & promotions firm. Since its inception, Pepper has produced over 3,000 concerts and events nationwide and has worked with some of the largest acts in the world such as Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, REO Speedwagon, Maroon 5, 21 Pilots and many more.

Currently, Pepper headquarters in downtown Sioux Falls with satellite offices in Minneapolis and Boise. Pepper has established itself as one of the premier and fastest
growing independent promoters in the country, producing national touring concerts in over 30 states. Johnson and his Pepper team have been nominated for several industry awards to include 2020 & 2024 Academy of Country Music, Promoter of the Year and 2023 Country Music Association Talent Buyer & Promoter of The Year. Pepper continues to rank within Pollstar’s Top 100 Worldwide Promoters.
