Anyone who attended SDSU or lived in the Brookings area in the 60's-70's was familiar with Horatios, affectionately called Horts. Located in the downtown area, the club was usually "packed" on Wednesdays and the weekends. It featured live bands, including local, regional, and national acts. Two of the "unofficial" house bands were Marlys Roe & the Talismen along with the Ride. On Hobo Day Horatios claimed it was the 3rd largest population in the state.
